Bentley won the toss and chose to bat on a sticky green wicket. Despite being hit for 8 in his first over, on the 5th ball of Ano’s second over he picked up his first wicket of the day. C Philpot was dismissed caught and bowled. In his next over Ano picked up back to back wickets. Jack was unlucky not to get a wicket from the other end, bowling an impressive 11-0 in his three over spell. Stefan came into the attack bowling a wicket maiden to start his spell, in his fourth and final over he got himself a wicket. Elliott Russell came on in the 15th over with Bentley five down, he started with a maiden over followed by back to back wicket maidens. With one stumped by William & the other bowled Elliott finished his day with the ball with figures of 0-2 off 3 overs. Johnny picked up a wicket from his last ball of his 2 over spell. Kayhan bowled a maiden in the penultimate over of the innings. Harrison bowled the final over with a wicket maiden, Bentley ended the innings with 63-9.

Max & Carter opened the batting for Upminster. Despite losing a wicket on the first ball of the innings Upminster then went unscathed until Carter was dismissed for 15. Bentley picked up their third wicket of Johnny for 26 before Elliott & Stefan saw Upminster home.

Upminster have now topped their group and reached the knockout stage undefeated, where they will play Woodford Wells on Sunday 29 June.
