Sunday will see the fourth edition of the Windmill Whack Women's Edition commence at Upminster Park. Five sides will again be competing for the trophy, with close to 100 ladies and girls set to take part throughout the summer.

Last season it was the Chairman's Chiefs who took the glory on the morning of the Benefit Match, breaking the stranglehold of the Apple Finance Phoenix who had claimed the title in 2021 and 2020 (the first of those under the guise of "The Sharks"). The Chiefs themselves have undergone a name change this winter, and have become the Mullis and Peake Magic, with the local solicitors having recently become the club's newest platinum sponsors.

Both of last year's finalists are in action for this Sunday's opening games, with the Magic taking on the Avengers (who appear to have cleverly recruited during the winter under the wily management of Angela Green), before the Apple Finance Phoenix face the Burley Bandits. Game One will begin at 1.00pm with Game Two taking place at 4.00pm.
