Four teams will be going for glory this summer and all four sides are in action on Night One of the competition. A new format for the competition is in operation for this summer, with all four sides playing one another twice in the group stage, with the games taking place as double headers on Friday evenings. The top two from the group stage will then progress to the Grand Final which will take place on the day of the Nick Browne Testimonial Match.

Tonight's games will see the holders, Burley Bandits, take on one of our new franchises, the Howden Heat, while another one of our new sponsors, the Root 66ers, will face off against the Mullis & Peake Magic. The "Dav Lav Pav" will of course be open throughout tonight's games, and Wholeslice Pizza will be on site taking orders for your pizza, delivered to the ground straight from our sponsors Roots of Upminster.
