Chapman and the Choice take the weekly honours

After a determined and consistent effort throughout the week, it was Matt Chapman who took the Week Eight individual title in the Windmill Walk. Chapman completed nearly 186k steps, the second highest weekly total to date, to take the honours ahead of Ella Stevenson, with Kerry Hodges in third. Familiar names John Woods and Derek Petrie were fourth and fifth respectively. Woods and Petrie still head the overall leaderboard with Angela Ueckermann in third and Kerry Hodges and Angela Green just behind. Seven more participants also passed the one million step mark during the week, including the first of our female entrants. Angela Ueckermann was the third participant overall to hit the target and was followed by Kerry Hodges, Angela Green, Toni Woodgate, Jordan Tolan, Ella Stevenson and Karen Berry.

Chapman’s immense efforts also helped his team, the Chairman’s Choice, take the weekly team award for the second week running, as they held off familiar foes the Ace Avengers and the Kushoom Bugh Tigers. The Tigers still hold the overall lead though, with the Avengers in second and the Choice in third.

The Windmill Walk is aiming to help all participants stay active during the lockdown, with all participants trying to reach the one million step target before the start of the league season in May.
