Crucial weekend for a number of senior sides

There are three days of action ahead this weekend with a number of important games scheduled for a number of our sides.

The action will begin on Friday evening with two matches in the Windmill Whack Women’s Edition at Upminster Park. The Burley Bandits know they need a win to keep alive their hopes of making Finals Day when they take on Root 66'ers while on the other pitch Mullis & Peake Magic will face off against Howden Heat. Both games get underway at 7.00pm.

Of course, Friday night junior training will also be taking place as normal and we request that with the sun once again shining brightly, all parents and guardians ensure their children bring plenty of water with them and wear an appropriate hat/cap if possible. Wholeslice (at Roots) will once again be on site taking orders for their legendary pizzas while this evening's match from The Hundred will be shown live on the screens.

Wholeslice have kindly offered to assist with the disposal of pizza boxes from this week, so once you have finished your pizzas if you could please take your boxes back to the ordering table so they can be disposed of. PLEASE NOTE, ACCESS TO THE PAVILION AND BAR IS FOR MEMBERS ONLY AND YOUR PITCHERO APP WILL NEED TO BE SHOWN TO USE THE FACILITIES.

The 1st XI will be looking to keep up their good form on Saturday when they welcome Chingford to Upminster Park, while the 2nd XI, who have been in excellent form themselves in recent weeks, make the short trip to Hutton. The 3rd and 4th XIs, who are both chasing their respective titles, face West Essex and Brentwood respectively.

Sunday sees a number of games in a variety of competitions with the Sunday League side taking on Goresbrook in a top of the table clash at Coopers School and the Women's 2nd XI travelling to Overton Drive to face Wanstead & Snaresbrook in Division Two of the EWPL. At Upminster Park the U13s go for cup glory in the Regional Final of the National Cup when they take on Copdock & Old Ipswichians (2.00pm) while there are seven other junior matches taking place throughout the day. And on top of all this the Women's Softball Team head to Springfield CC (1.00pm start) for the Finals Day of the Essex Softball Series. The Upminster side have been to Finals Day on multiple occasions and this time they will be looking to bring back the title.
