This year’s Benefit Match will be played in aid of the Essex Cricket Foundation and will celebrate all aspects of cricket at Upminster, as well as give those in the RM14 area a chance to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the formation of Essex County Cricket Club.

The day will culminate with a T20 contest between Upminster and an Essex XI but there will be a number of events and activities taking place throughout the day. Further details around timings and how you can support the event will become available over the coming weeks.

Last year’s contest, played as part of Nick Browne’s Testimonial Year, ended with Essex beating Upminster by 21 runs in a thrilling game. This year's game will be the 26th contest between the two sides, with the first match having taken place in 1997.
