Upminster have announced their squad for the Benefit Match against an Essex CCC XI on Sunday 13th September.
The squad contains three players who will be making their debut in this fixture with Finley Tolan, Fenton Everingham and Paige Roche all set to star. Tolan is rewarded for a number of excellent performances for the 2nd and 3rd XIs in the last two seasons, with the all-rounder also being selected for his Essex age group squad in both 2025 and 2026. Everingham has enjoyed an excellent season, helping the 4th XI to their divisional title, and he has also played a huge role off the field, helping at junior training and with a number of other tasks around the club. Roche has made a huge contribution to the Women's 1st XI since joining the club at the start of the 2024 season. The powerful opening batter has played a number of eye-catching innings, with her performances helping the Women's 1s to a second place finish in 2025 and a third place finish this season in EWPL Division One.
Alongside the debutants, a number of players with huge experience in this fixture are also in the squad. Shafiq Rahman will make his seventeenth appearance against Essex (a club record) while Kiran Kullar will play in this game for the seventh time. Callum Berry will be part of the side for the fifth consecutive year while Aaron Beard, a man who has played for both teams in this contest, will skipper the Upminster side having led the club back into the Premier Division of the Hamro Foundation Essex League this season.
