162nd AGM of Upminster Cricket Club will now take place on Sunday 24th January 2021

In what has been an unprecedented year the club's committee are mindful that the AGM is traditionally and constitutionally scheduled for the first Sunday in December, which this year is Sunday the 6th December 2020.

With the situation the way it is, the AGM would have been held via Zoom, Teams or another virtual hosting platform, however the committee have made the decision to postpone the AGM until after the festive break, which will give the committee time to gauge what progress the country is making in fighting this virus and what cricket may look like in 2021.

In addition, as the clubhouse has been closed, it has not been possible to display the 'nomination of officers’ board and by delaying the AGM it would give the opportunity for members to contact the secretary should any individual wishes to stand for a particular role.  There are a number of playing and non-playing positions that remain vacant, so if any member would like to be nominated, please contact me contact Secretary Robert Mack by email.

Subsequently, the committee have discussed this and have decided that the appropriate course of action to take is that the AGM is delayed until Sunday 24th January 2021 at 10.30am. It is almost inevitable that the AGM will be held via Zoom or Teams and the link to join the meeting, Agenda and other relevant documentation will be sent out in due course.
The committee hope this is agreeable with all members and Vice-Presidents, as the committee believe that it is in the best interests of Upminster Cricket Club. Please do not hesitate to contact Robert if you have any questions or comments.

A formal notice of the above will be issued to all members and Vice-Presidents shortly
