It’s the magic of the cup at Upminster Park on Wednesday night (5th August) when the club hosts the Sunday League T20 Final. The club had agreed to host the final some time ago, before they knew that Upminster would qualify for the showpiece event, but now Ollie Burley’s side will take on Waltham in the final at 5.30pm.

Upminster of course won this competition last season in thrilling fashion, beating Scintilla by three runs in the dusk at Gallows Corner. The club has an enviable record in the competition generally, with this being the fourth time they have entered and the third time they have reached the final having also won the event in 2021 when Stu Connor led the side to victory in a low-scoring final at Wanstead’s Overton Drive ground. That match was also against………..Waltham!!

Upminster reached this year’s final by beating Harold Wood by three wickets and then overcoming Scintilla by five wickets in a repeat of last year’s final. Waltham advanced to the final having topped a group containing Goresbrook and Sharks Academy.

The Pavilion will be open throughout Wednesday’s final, with the evening game from The Hundred being shown live on the screens, and Ollie and the side would love to see you there as they try to secure the first senior silverware of the 2026 season.
