It was another good afternoon for the club with the 1st and 4th XIs picking up important wins, although there were setbacks for the 3rd and 6th XIs. There were also some record breaking performances from Mit Shah, Harry Jenkins and Rob Evans along the way. 

At Garon Park the 1st XI took another huge step towards promotion with an eight wicket win over Old Southendians, who had started the day in second place in the table. Upminster skipper Aaron Beard asked the home side to bat first having won the toss and the home side made a good start through Jack Potticary and Shaurya Singh. The opening pair put on 80 for the first wicket inside 17 overs until the introduction of spin into the Upminster attack began to change the course of the innings. Shafiq Rahman removed Singh for 24 before JJ Smuts removed home skipper Matthew Darvill as the visitors began to turn the screw. Rahman produced a beautiful delivery to grab the prized scalp of Potticary for 75 as Southendians fell to 118-3 and from that point on the Upminster spin duo worked their way through the middle order. Smuts claimed 5-49 and Rahman 4-68 as the home side slid to 166-9 before a determined last wicket stand gave Southendians something to bowl at. Prasann Shukla (24) and Rishabh Dixit (19*) added 39 before Pulkit Gupta dismissed Shukla with the total on 205.

Gupta and Kiran Kullar started the chase in positive fashion before Kullar was caught behind for 16 with the total on 29. Gupta and Smuts were watchful against some good seam bowling but both began to move the score along when spin was introduced into the attack. Smuts was keen not to let Dixit settle and hit him down the ground for three boundaries while Gupta found the boundary twice with shots off the back foot against Shukla. Smuts was first to reach his half century and from that point he began to cause chaos as he peppered a marquee event taking place beyond the wide long on boundary. With the rest of Upminster's batting line up in position to protect Elsa and Anna, Smuts brought up his century as Upminster closed in on victory. Gupta reached a deserved half century with two through extra cover before being well caught at slip by Potticary off of Shukla, but Gus Philpot looked in good touch as he helped guide Upminster towards the finish line. It was Philpot who hit the winning boundary to finish 19 not out while Smuts finished on a brilliant 116 not out from just 65 balls as Upminster won by eight wickets with more than 21 overs remaining.

An extraordinary game at Upminster Park ended with the 2nd XI losing by seven wickets to Ilford. Upminster decided to bat first upon winning the toss and number three Tom Daniels will have been padding up as openers Harry Jenkins and Mit Shah walked to the crease. It was nearly three hours later before Daniels was called into action as Shah and Jenkins compiled a remarkable opening stand. Ilford tried seven bowlers during the 40 over stand, before Kamaljit Singh finally dismissed Shah for a brilliant 179 from 143 balls. That ended the stand on 325, the largest partnership by an Upminster pair in a Saturday league game in the PlayCricket era, and when a second wicket fell shortly after Upminster declared eight overs early on 343-2 with Jenkins ending not out 138. Ilford started their reply in aggressive fashion themselves and they reached 130-2 in 17 overs with Ollie Peck and Max Carter-Miller picking up the wickets. Ilford skipper Gagan Bhogal and Sevak Chaggar then combined for an excellent third wicket stand which took their side towards victory. They added 147 in 19 overs with Bhogal making 147 from 116 deliveries before being dismissed by Ollie Burley but Chaggar continued to take his side towards victory and he found a willing partner in the experienced Pronob Roy. Chaggar ended on 80 not out and Roy finished unbeaten on 40 as Ilford won a remarkable game with more than six overs to spare.

The 3rd XI's title charge was halted by Bentwood as the sides played out a draw at Coopers. Brentwood batted sensibly to get themselves into a good position having been asked to bat first, with Shail Singh and George Bull both making patient half centuries. That solid platform allowed Brentwood's middle order to bat with real freedom, and Jatin Patel took full advantage as he smashed 72 from just 29 balls to take his side towards a big total. Lewis Munn claimed 3-75 for Upminster to help keep his side in the game while Mark D'Cruz took 2-47 as Brentwood closed on 268-8. Ethan Berry and captain Dan Simpson put on 69 for the first wicket at the start of the reply before Berry fell for 40 and Simpson and George Sheridan (34) then took the score to 140 before Simpson went for 64. Wickets then began to fall at regular intervals and despite 27 for Michael Pedrick Upminster found themselves falling into trouble with Darshan Ghandi taking 4-55 for Brentwood. In the end Upminster had to bat out for the draw as they finished on 212-8.

A five wicket haul for Fenton Everingham helped the 4th XI close in on the title as they won at Benfleet. The young seamer claimed brilliant figures of 5-24 to put his side on top, and with Ewan Lowrie and Nathan Brown picking up two wickets each the home side were bowled out for just 125 despite 40 from Will Roberts. Steve Limn continued his excellent season with 40 at the start of the Upminster chase but at 78-3 there may have been a few nerves. However, skipper Matt Ingleson steadied the ship in partnership with Rob Healy, and although Healy fell just before the end Ingleson made 34 not out to see his side to a six wicket win. 

The 5th XI kept alive their promotion hopes as they won at Belhus with Rob Evans producing record breaking figures of 8-26. Evans' figures were the best 5th XI bowling figures of the PlayCricket era and the fourth best ever by any Upminster bowler in the same era. Alfie Ware (54) and Zaheer Ahmad (47*) had taken Belhus into a good position at 79-1 and 130-4 but Evans' spell saw them collapse to 161 all out. Alfie Bowden claimed three wickets at the start of the Upminster reply as the promotion chasers fell to 65-4 but Ian Munn and Alfie Taplin got Upminster back on track. They added 89 for the fifth wicket before Taplin fell for 40 but Munn completed the job, ending on 53 not out as Upminster won by four wickets.

Struggling Southend caused an upset at Campion as they beat the 6th XI. Upminster remain top of Mid Essex Division Nine despite the defeat but they never fully recovered from a poor start which saw them fall to 11-3. Nathan French did his best to rectify the situation, batting superbly to make his highest score of the season, 91, and with Patrick Gulvin making 45 Upminster did reach 165-5 at one stage, but a late collapse saw them bowled out for 190 with Toby Mitchell and Arnihan Sarveswaran both taking three wickets each for Southend. Upminster may have felt that score would be a challenging one but Southend's Neil Harvey had other ideas. He made 118 not out, and although Upminster's attack stuck to their task well it was not enough as Southend won by seven wickets.

The 7th XI picked up a much needed win in Mid Essex Division Ten as they overcame Benfleet at Broxhill Road. Upminster's innings was built around an excellent opening stand between Billy Sheridan (60) and Chris Brabin (78) who put on 146 for the first wicket. That stand was then backed up by contributions from Harrison Simpson (18), Kev McNeela (30) and Max Bird (20) as Upminster made 246-9. Steven Green and Jake Sampson then produced an excellent opening stand of their own at the start of the Benfleet reply, but after they both fell McNeela and Brabin took control for Upminster. Brabin claimed 5-53 and McNeela 4-18 as Benfleet were bowled out for 174.

The Friendly XI picked up a win at West Mersea. Upminster bowled out their opponents for 108 and George Ashlin then made his maiden senior fifty as Upminster won by eight wickets.
