It was another excellent afternoon for the club with the first four league sides all recording victories, some of them crucial, and the 6th XI also maintaining their position at the top of the table.

At School Lane, a century from Kiran Kullar and six wickets from JJ Smuts helped the 1st XI to a 25 point win over Orsett & Thurrock. Having won the toss and decided to bat, Upminster skipper Aaron Beard would have been disappointed to see his side fall to 59-4 and then 89-5 with Callum Greene (3-62) doing most of the damage. Opener Kullar remained though, and he combined with the skipper in what turned out to be the most crucial partnership of the day, the pair putting on 97 in 14 overs for the sixth wicket to suddenly put their side in charge. Beard was leading the acceleration of the innings before he fell for 60 from 50 balls, but Callum Berry helped Kullar take the total beyond 200 with Kullar bringing up his century from 119 balls. Kullar fell two balls later for exactly 100 before Berry, who was looking in fine form, cleared the ropes three times to take his side towards 250. Tom Redman (2-88) and Taylor Casson (2-41) mopped up the Upminster tail leaving Berry unbeaten on 39 as his side were bowled out for 264.

Smuts and Max Carter-Miller struck early in the Orsett reply before Ben Prophet and Kieran Powell knuckled down to try and get their side back in the game. The pair added 27 in 14 overs before a change of ends for Nehal Butt did the trick for Upminster as he had Powell caught at the wicket for 14. Smuts picked up two more quick wickets to put Upminster in charge and Butt then had Kirk Laws caught down the leg side to really put his side in control as they sensed a crucial victory. Prophet was still at the crease but when he went for 38 to give Butt his third victim Upminster had the breakthrough they needed and Smuts then completed his five-for with two more quickfire wickets to put his side on the brink. Last pair Greene and Redman looked to have some fun with Greene hitting a flurry of boundaries, but the game was won when Greene (24) looked to hit Smuts for a maximum over long on only for Berry to run round and claim a stunning one handed catch on the line to give Smuts 6-25 as Orsett were dismissed for 116.

The 2nd XI cruised to a nine wicket win over BIllericay at Upminster Park to continue their climb up the table. Billericay decided to bat first upon winning the toss but they lost opener Oscar Bassett to an unfortunate injury before Jamie Green (2-52) dismissed veteran Ricay' opener Stuart Hynes. Martin Leslie and Anay Patel took the visitors into a good position at 56-2 but after Ollie Burley dismissed Leslie (29) and John Curtis (2-27) trapped Patel in front for 13 it was Upminster who were very much on top. Oscar Harmer played a superb innings for Ricay' to try and keep his side in the game but with wickets falling at the other end Harmer was quickly running out of partners. Burley (3-67) was the pick of the Upminster attack but it was Peck (2-13) who finally dismissed Harmer for 66 as Ricay' were bowled out for 168. Mit Shah and Harry Jenkins made a fast start to the reply before Shah was well caught by Thomas Gibney off the bowling of Cameron Banks to give the visitors what would go on to be their only breakthrough. From that point on Jenkins and Aki Rahman never looked like giving their opponents a sniff as they smashed the ball to all parts. Both men went past 50 before Jenkins accelerated away and looked for a while like he may reach three figures. In the end he ended 92 not out while Rahman finished not out 63 as Upminster won by nine wickets in just 21 overs. 

A topsy-turvy afternoon for the 3rd XI ended with them picking up 25 points at old friends Woodford Wells. Wells decided to bowl first and Charles Scott, who would eventually finish with 6-44, ripped through Upminster's top order as the league leaders fell to 35-4. Michael Pedrick continued his excellent season though, batting superbly once again and in partnership with Ross Taylor got his side back in the game. The pair added 126 for the fourth wicket before Taylor fell for 56 to Sam Bardon (3-30), but Pedrick continued to press on and looked set for a century until he fell to Scott for 93. That wicket left Upmister at 192-6 and hoping to post a score in excess of 250 but wickets fell quickly and the visitors were bowled out for 224 with Ollie Clarke left unbeaten on 22. Upminster's veteran seamer Mark D'Cruz came out in determined fashion and produced a brilliant early burst (4-33) which included the key wicket of Will Rogers for 27. Upminster were very much on top at that stage but Hasan Mohsin and Bardon hit back for Wells with a fine sixth wicket partnership. They looked to be taking their side towards victory before Dylan Narbheram bowled Mohsin for 40 and Upminster sensed their opportunity. Finley Tolan (3-25) and Ryan Oakes quickly ran through the lower order as Wells were bowled out for 186 despite Bardon remaining not out on 79.

The 4th XI kept up their relentless march towards promotion with a crushing victory over Hadleigh & Thundersley at Coopers. It was actually Hadleigh who had started the afternoon on top as Zain Ali (42) and Toby Spreadborough (60) put on 89 for the first wicket before Aedan Daly produced two quick wickets to get Upminster back in the game. At 149-3 it looked like the visitors would still set Upminster a challenging target, but the spin duo of Nathan Brown (3-61) and Lewis Munn (2-22) ran through the middle and lower order, and with three wickets also falling to run outs Hadleigh collapsed to 162 all out. That still looked like it may provide Upminster with a tricky chase, but captain Matt Ingleson and 13 year old William Peck, making his debut at 4th XI level, soon showed it was not going to be enough. Both batters looked in fine form from the start and they soon wore down the Hadleigh bowlers to put their side into a strong position. Hadleigh tried seven bowlers to try and find a breakthrough but there was no way through as Ingleson (71*) and Peck (63*) saw Upminster to a ten wicket win.

There was a narrow defeat for the 5th XI as they lost by four runs at Hornchurch Athletic 3s. Athletic batted first and their innings was an up and down affair with Chris Martin (29) and Azlaan Rehman (48) putting their side into a good position before Rob Evans (3-42) and Harry Bradford (3-30) brought Upminster back into the game only for Prasanna Kumar and Abid Soomro to rally late in the innings to lift the total to 214.Upminster were 5-2 in reply before Stew Hammond and Alfie Taplin dug in to try and rescue the innings. Taplin fell for 23, Thomas Cargill went for 12 and skipper Adam Overton went without scoring as Upminster slid to 61-5 meaning Hammond and Ewan Lowrie had to rebuild once again and when Hammond went for 48 the game looked over. Lowrie and Bradford didn't give up the fight and Lowrie brought up an excellent half century before falling for 55 as Athletic took control once again. 27 were needed from the final two overs and Bradford took 13 from the penultimate set to leave 14 needed from the last. Bradford couldn't find the boundary and needed six from the final ball to tie but could only manage two as Upminster lost by four runs with Bradford ending on an excellent 37 not out.

The 6th XI kept up their title challenge with an excellent all-round performance to beat Hutton at Campion. There were good contributions with the bat from Mark Hortop, Matt Burch, Aadit Latey and Oscar Sousanna while Thomas Brabin (54) and Matt Mccarthy (52) both made excellent half centuries in Upminster's total of  243-6. Sousanna was then the star of the show with the ball, taking two wickets up-front and three in the middle order on his way to figures of 5-36 which would ultimately prove the difference between the two sides. A partnership of 100 between Tom Reel (72) and Dan Latham (59*) did briefly threaten to get Hutton back in the game, but no other batter made double figures as the visitors were bowled out for 159.

The 7th XI narrowly lost out in an excellent game against Great Totham at Broxhill Road. Jack Ridge made 76 for Totham while 41 extras helped the visitors to a total of 220-5. Billy Sheridan (25) and Rob Healy (22) put Upminster into a good position but they then found themselves at 60-7 and seemingly out of the game. Ralph Moore and Jack Butler combined with a partnership of 84 to keep Upminster hopes alive and when Butler fell for 40 Don Triggs joined Moore and they continued to keep their side in the game. Moore fell for a brilliant 51 leaving Triggs and Kevin Roome the task of adding 49 for the last wicket to win the game, and they gave it a good go, adding 22 before Roome fell for 14 as Upminster lost by 26 runs.

There was also a defeat for the Friendly XI as they lost their latest encounter with Herongate & Ingrave. Herongate were bowled out for 217 with Max Beckley claiming 3-31 and Aiden McNeela, Ewan Mcarthur and Joshua O'Sullivan all picking up two wickets each for Upminster. Max Malby (33) and Aiden McNeela (24) batted well in the Upminster reply, while skipper Kevin McNeela made an excellent 57, but the visitors came up just short as they were bowled out for 191.
