Upminster's Ladies XI will face strong opposition on their return to competitive action, as they have been drawn to face Wanstead & Snaresbrook in the first round of the ECB Women's Club T20.
It is over 20 years since the club fielded a ladies side for a competitive fixture and the team in 2021 will be led by Vicki Waters who played in that last game.
The tie will be played at Upminster and will be scheduled to be completed on or before 3rd May.
It is a sign of the progress that the club has made in developing womens and girls cricket in recent seasons that they are able to enter this prestigous competition. The Windmill Whack Women's edition was a huge success last season, and the second edition will begin in May, while the club's girls teams continue to expand and are set for their first full summer of training and games in 2021.
