It's already been another busy summer for the club's junior sides, with over 150 games completed so far. With five weeks of the season to go a number of these sides remain in contention for honours and we take a look at how each squad has been doing and what they have left to play for.

U19s:
Three wins from three in the group stages of the Ravi Bopara Trophy has seen the side progress to the knockout stages of the competition for the second consecutive season. The team were pushed hard on Tuesday night against Billericay but they now wait to hear who they will face in the next stage.

U17s:
It's been a frustrating season so far for this group, but they do still have plenty to play for. A narrow loss to Hornchurch in the Central Cup was disappointing but they have since recovered to win the two Central League games they have played so far. Several games have been postponed with oppositions unable to field sides, but the side will hope to pick up enough wins in their remaining matches to claim the title.

U16s:
Another squad to endure a frustrating campaign with two of their four Matchplay games being conceded by the opposition. An excellent performance saw them beat Harold Wood to set up a group decider at Shenfield but the home side proved too strong and their victory meant Upminster missed out on a place in the knockout stages.

U15s:
The club have fielded two sides at this age group this season, the Ultras and the Ultimate. The Ultras went out of the Central Cup at the first hurdle, losing out to a strong Brentwood side, while in Central League Division One they have won two out of their three games played so far, the highlight being an eight wicket win over Galleywood. The Ultimate are competing in Division Two West where they have played two games to date, beating Hornchurch Athletic before narrowly losing out to Billericay.

U15 Girls:
This squad have had a busy summer, playing games in a variety of competitions, although they have been frustrated by a number of opposition cry offs. The side will compete in the Central Cup Final after their win over Brentwood/Shenfield last week, while in the Central League the side have played well despite losing their opening two games. In the West Group of the Cath Dalton Cup the side will finish in second or third place with Wanstead & Snaresbrook topping the group. 

U14s:
This squad have been one of our busiest to date in 2026 with nearly 20 games played in a variety of competitions. In the Sir Alastair Cook Trophy the Ultras cruised through their group with four wins from four to set up a Last 16 contest with Chingford. Chingford's batting proved too strong though and it was they who advanced to the quarter finals. In Central League Division One the Ultras have won one and lost one so far while they have also advanced to the final of the Central Cup where they will face Harold Wood at Upminster Park on 30th August. The Ultras have also been taking part in the U15 Central League Division One where despite being a year younger than most of their opposition they are in contention for the title with three wins from their four games played. The Ultimate side are taking part in Central League Division Two, and they also remain in the race for the title with three wins from four matches, their latest victory coming at South Woodham & Burnham.

U13s:
Another age group who have been busy this summer, with the Ultras and Ultimate both enjoying great seasons. The highlight for the Ultras was their National Cup win last weekend over Copdock & Old Ipswichians, a result which means they go to the Regional Finals Day at Teddington CC this Monday (3rd). The Ultras have also made the Central Cup Final, where they will face Shenfield at Chelmer Park on 6th September. In Central League Division One the Ultras remain in title contention with four wins and a loss to Billericay to their name so far. The Ultimate are competing in Division Two West of the Central League, and despite some excellent performances are yet to pick up a win, but it's a different story in the Havering League where they have won three out of three to top the table. 

U13 Girls:
The U13 Girls face a Central Cup quarter final against Hornchurch Athletic next week, while in the Central League the side currently sit on top of the table with two wins from two. In the Cordelia Griffith Cup the highlight of the group stage came with a five wicket win over Woodford Wells. 

U12s:
In the Brian Taylor Trophy the Ultras won two and lost two of their group matches to finish third in their five team pool. In the Central Cup the Ultras beat Writtle in Round One before bowing out against Bentley in the quarter final, while in Central League Division One the team are still in the title hunt with two wins from three in what is a very competitive and evenly matched division. The Ultimate are taking part in Central League Division Two where they are in mid-table at the present time with four wins from seven, the highlight being a win over Harold Wood last weekend.

U12 Girls:
In the Central League the U12 Girls are very much in the title race as they have won all three of their games so far, their latest win coming in early July when they beat neighbours Hornchurch Athletic with an excellent performance. The team are also still involved in the Central Cup where they will face Writtle in the semi final later this month. 

U11s:
The Ultras recent loss to Brentwood in Central League Division One was a blow to their title hopes, but that was their only loss so far in that competition and they still sit in second place in the table. In the Central Cup the side lost out to Billericay in the first round while in the Havering League the team will be busy in the coming weeks as they look to make their way up the table (they currently have one win and one loss to their name so far). In Central League Division Two West the Ultimate have won two and lost two with the highlight being a 52 run win over Brentwood. 

U11 Girls:
The side were desperately unlucky not to reach the knockout stages of the Kelly Castle Cup, finishing runners-up in their pool with three wins and one loss. The squad put that disappointment behind them to beat Writtle to make it to the Central Cup Final, while in the Central League they currently sit top of the table although have been frustrated by a number of called off games. The U11 Girls Softball squad have also been competing in the Central U12 League where they have lost just one game so far.

U10s:
The U10 Ultras were the first Upminster team of the season to claim a league title when they sealed the Central League Division One crown with a win over Brentwood. The Ultras will also face Brentwood in the Central Cup Final after they overcame Harold Wood by eight wickets in early July. The Ultras are also in contention for the Havering U11 League title as they currently sit top of the table with six wins and one loss to their name. The Ultimate are mid-table in Central League Division Two after their recent win over Brentwood while in the Central Softball Division the Ultras sit second in the table with two games to play.

U9s:
The Ultras lost out to an excellent Brentwood side in the semi finals of the Central Cup, while in the Softball Cup the side suffered a quarter final loss to Billericay. In Central League Division One the Ultras only win to date was a thrilling one run win over Great Baddow, while in the Softball Division the side have won two and lost two of their four matches. It's a similar story for the Ultimate Softball side who have won three of their five matches in the Central League so far, the highlight being a win over Ingatestone. 

U8s:
Our youngest squad to be playing competitive matches, this squad have been making huge progress in recent weeks. The Ultras have been competing in U9 Central League Division One, and while they are yet to register a win their recent performances have been excellent. In the U9 Central Softball League the team have won their last two games with great performances helping them beat Chelmsford and Billericay. The Ultimate Softball side are also taking part in the U9 Central Softball League and they have also won their last two fixtures, beating Rainham and Gidea Park & Romford.

As well as all of the above a number of our squads have taken part in festivals and other events, with our U10, U11 and U12 girls excelling in these, with the U11 and U12 girls squads winning a number of events. 

With more than 450 children registered to play or train with the club in 2026 there is a huge amount of work which goes on behind the scenes to ensure things run smoothly. We would therefore like to thank all of the managers, coaches, umpires, scorers, competition organisers, catering teams, grounds staff and all the other volunteers who make it all happen.
