It’s all set to be another busy weekend for the club, but all eyes will be on above (and the weather forecasts) with some rain in the air for Saturday.

The action starts on Friday evening, with the second set of matches in the Windmill Whack Women’s Edition taking place at Upminster Park. Both games start at 7.00pm with Burley Bandits taking on Root 66’ers and Howden Heat facing Mullis & Peake Magic. Junior training is also on as normal, the bar will be open all evening and Wholeslice (at Roots) will be on site taking orders for their legendary pizzas.

Saturday’s weather may not be looking the greatest, but that will hopefully change as we have NINE senior sides ready to take the field. The 1st XI, with four wins already under their belt, are set to face Gidea Park & Romford in a local derby at Upminster Park, while the 2nd XI will be hoping to follow up last week’s impressive result against Wanstead with another victory as they travel to high-flying Billericay.

The weather is looking a little better for Sunday, and there is lots going on to finish the weekend. At Upminster Park, the 1996 Matchplay squad will reunite to take on a Vice Presidents and ex Player XI captained by Nicky Ison, while both of our Women’s sides are in league action. The 1st XI travel to Billericay in Division One while the 2nd XI entertain Orsett & Thurrock at Coopers School (both games at 1.00pm). There are also a number of junior matches planned with eight matches scheduled across the day.
