The junior season is beginning to slow down as we move into late August, but there is still much to play for across all of our age groups, including seven Central Cup Finals over the coming weekends.

Finals in the CECPG competitions will take place on 30th August and 6th September and the Upminster teams involved are working hard to prepare for these matches.

Remarkably, four of our girls sides will be competing in finals, out of five girls competitions run by the CECPG, and first into action will be the U13 Girls when they take on Hutton at Hornchurch Athletic CC on 30th August (10.00am). The team produced their best performance of the season to beat Hornchurch Athletic in the quarter finals before Billericay had to concede the scheduled semi final contest meaning Upminster progressed to the final.

On 6th September two of our girls' sides will be in action at Writtle CC with the U12s taking on Hornchurch Athletic (10.00am) and the U11s facing the same opposition later in the day (1.00pm). The U12s beat Hornchurch and Writtle to reach the final while the U11s also beat Writtle in the last four to make it through to the big day. Also on 6th September, our U15 Girls will take part in their final at Harold Wood CC (10.00am) having overcome Brentwood/Shenfield in the semi finals, and they will now take on Billericay as they look to claim the trophy.

Three of our boys sides have also made it through to their finals, with the U14s the first to play their final when they take on Harold Wood in a local derby at Upminster Park on 30th August (11.30am). Upminster have beaten Great Baddow and Chelmsford to get to this stage and they will be hoping to retain the trophy won by this year's U15s in 2025. Two Upminster sides will then play their finals at Chelmsford CC on 6th September with the U13s taking on Shenfield at 10.00am and the U10s up against Brentwood at 1.00pm.

These finals are always great occasions and the teams would appreciate as much support as possible as they look to finish their seasons in style.
