Senior side go top of the league, while junior sides start well

The first five weeks of the indoor league season have seen the club's senior side climb to the top of the Division 1 table in the Riverside Indoor League.  Despite a cup double last season the side were relegated from the Senior Division, but they have started well in their attempt to bounce back at the first attempt.  Upminster started with a convincing win over Chelmsford Tigers before a much tighter game against Galleywood also resulted in maximum points.  Beaulieu Park were then beaten by five wickets as Upminster made it three wins from three, before they squeezed home against Great Waltham by just three wins to open up a gap at the top of the table.  They will next be in action on the 20th November when they take on Woodham Mortimer at 4pm.

Our junior sides are in two competitions this winter, the Havering Indoor League, which takes place on Saturdays and Sundays at Coopers School, and the Central League that is played on Sundays at Shenfield School.

In the Havering League the club has three sides in the U9s League this season.  Our U9s boys team have won their only game played so far, while our U11 Girls side also won their first contest.  Our U8s side have been defeated in their opening two games, but they have showed great spirit and gained huge experience in these contests.

The club has four sides in the Havering U11s League for this winter, in what is an 11 team competition.  Our U10s and U10B side both won their opening fixtures, and are both back in action tomorrow (Saturday 5th).  The U11 Boys and U13 Girls sides are waiting to make their first appearances in this season's competition.

In the U13s League the U15 Girls put up a good showing against a strong Harold Wood side before falling to defeat, but they bounced back to beat Gidea Park and Romford U12s.  The U12 Boys won their opening encounter against neighbours Hornchurch while the U13 Boys won their first contest against Gidea Park and Romford.  Both the U12s and U13s are in action tomorrow afternoon (Saturday 5th).

Our U14 Boys side beat Orsett and Thurrock in their first U15 League game and face Rainham tomorrow, while the U15s have their opening game tomorrow against Orsett and Thurrock.

In the Central League the U10s sit joint top of the league after two wins in their opening two games, those victories coming against Shenfield and Hutton Girls.  The U10 squad are also in the Central U11s League, and have so far played just won game in that competition, which produced a win over Bentley Girls.

The U11s are playing in the Central U12s League and have one win and won loss to their name so far, while in the U13s Division the U12s won their opening game, but the U13s fell to a narrow defeat against Shenfield.
