Hunters through to first round of Riverside Indoor Cup

The Upminster Hunters started 2019 with a preliminary round cup match against Great Totham.

Batting first Hunters reached 46 before Scott Fisher fell for 8. Skipper Nicky Ison opening the innings reached the retirement mark of 25 as did John Curtis. Scoring at more than 10 a over the runs continued to flow with Adam Quested scoring a brisk 16 and Ellis Pickering finishing the innings 24 not out as the Hunters totalled 132/3

In reply Great Totham needed a solid start but were soon 9/2 and struggling. Fisher 1/18, Louis Pickering 1/12 and Curtis 2/6 then combined to dismiss Totham for 43.

The Hunters progress to a 1st round match against Hutton on the 27th January.

Both Hunters and the Tandoori Boys are in league action at Shenfield this week. Hunters face Springfield at 3.30 before the Tandoori Boys face Galleywood at 4.30
