Team will face Buckhurst Hill in Final on 9th September

The Under 9s put in a superb performance to overcome Woodford Green in Sunday's Don Coate's Trophy semi-final and move through to the showpiece final for the second successive year.

Batting first, Upminster piled up a huge score of 198-7 to finish on a net total of 363 (under the "terriers" format). Green battled well in reply but against some tight Upminster bowling and fielding they were only able to reach 88-12 to finish on a net score of 228, leaving Upminster winners by 135 runs. Marsha Edinburgh's side remain unbeaten throughout the 2018 season.

Upminster will now face Buckhurst Hill in the Final at Woodford Wells on 9th September (time to be confirmed).

Meanwhile, the U11A side fell agonisingly short in their Haydn Davies Quarter Final tie with Wanstead at Coopers. Having restricted Wanstead to 74-4 from their 20 overs Upminster looked set for victory as they reached 47-4 but a late collapse saw them all out for 61 and Wanstead advanced to semi-finals.

The U11B team lost out to Gidea Park and Romford in an excellent Havering League derby at Gallows Corner, with Gidea running out winners by 13 runs. And the U15s hopes of claiming the Havering League title were ended after they fell to defeat by 27 runs.
