Club very grateful for donation of historic photograph

Upminster Cricket Club would like to thank Ginny Abraham and Paul Sainsbury for the recent donation of an historic photograph of an Upminster CC side from 1908. Ginny and Paul have donated the picture to the Club on behalf of Reeve Burrell and the Friends of Upminster Windmill.

The photograph, which is an original copy, is believed to have been taken at what was then the Club's home ground, on the site which is now the playing fields of Upminster Junior School.

In the photo and the team that day were Reeve Burrell's grandfather, Mr J. Burrell and Mr T. Wilson, a local historian and carpenter.

The Club are in the process of having this historic photograph framed and placed in the Clubhouse.

Anyone wanting to know more about the Club's history can find more information at: http://www.upminstercricketclub.com/a/upminster-cricket-club-history-46157.html
