Tandoori Boys slip to defeat

By Kevin Roome

Defeat to Chelmsford Tigers despite late order resistance

The Tandoori Boys fell to defeat in their latest indoor match at Ingatestone

Having been asked to bat openers Ian Munn and skipper Billy Wright started well before the Tigers struck. The middle order struggled for runs and it was left to last man Ryan Brown who hit 22 not out to help get the total at the end of the 12 overs to 76.

The Tigers went about chasing the total down at a rate of knots with Ollie Smith quickly reaching the retirement mark. With 8 runs to win Brown took the consolation wicket of Richard Barker (16) but Andrew Barkers 21* saw the total chased down in 9.1 overs. (Scorecard)

The defeat leaves the Tandoori Boys in 2nd after 6 games played. (Table)
