In reply Nathan French and Callum Berry put together a solid 3rd wicket partnership to push Upminster towards victory but when they fell the run rate climbed and Upminster finished on 85-9 to exit by the narrowest of margins.

Meanwhile the U13s progressed to the knock out stages of the Len Stentiford Trophy after a victory over Frenford. Josh Mason starred with the ball as Frenford were restricted to 87-9.
