The draws for both the Dukes League Cup and Dukes T20 competition were made at the League AGM on Sunday morning.
In the League Cup, Upminster will face a tough encounter as they travel to face this season's winners Chingford. Chingford overcame Belhus in August's final and will be formidable opposition for Upminster. The tie will take place on Saturday 28th April and the winners will progress to the second round on 5th May. Other ties of note see Premier Division champions Chelmsford travel to Colchester, Wanstead will travel down the A12 to face Gidea Park and Romford at Gallows Corner, Brentwood will make the short trip to Central Park to face Ardleigh Green while Belhus will take on Southend on Sea at Southchurch Park in a repeat of this year's semi final.
In the T20 a revamped format sees 16 sides divided into four sections with knockout games taking place from the start. Upminster will take on Premier Division new boys Hadleigh and Thundersely with the winners taking on the winners of the other semi final in the section between Wanstead and Snaresbrook and Billericay. Both section semi finals and the final will take place at Upminster CC on Monday 28th May. Further details of the day will be announced in due course.
