U9s And U12s Impress And Move Forward In Competitions

In Sunday's Don Coates Trophy (Met Board Trophy) game at Upminster Park the home side got the better of Newham in an excellent contest in front of a large crowd. Despite a spirited display by the young Newham side Upminster prevailed by 174 runs and move forward to a semi final on 29th July.

The U12s progressed in the Brian Taylor County Trophy after a nine wicket win at Billericay. Callum Berry took 3-18 as Ricay were restricted to 126-5 from their 25 overs. Berry (52*) was then in the runs as well as he and Gus Siggins (also 52*) combined to see Upminster to victory with more than ten overs remaining.

On Friday night the U11s came up just short in their Central Board semi final at Shenfield. In an excellent contest Shenfield won by four wickets with three balls remaining. We wish Shenfield all the best in the Final.

And on Monday night the U15s beat Gidea Park and Romford in their latest Havering League game. Harvey Daniels starred with the bat as he helped his side to a seven wicket win.
