Two sides in knockout action while Matchplay Team face crucial clash

It's a big day this Sunday (30th) for Upminster's colts sides in a number of competitions.

The U9s are in semi final action in the Don Coates Trophy as they take on South Loughton. The game will take place at Upminster Park at 9.30am and any support will be welcome as the two sides endeavour to reach the final at Woodford Wells in September.

Meanwhile the U12s travel to Saffron Walden in the Quarter Finals of the Peter Coe Cup. Upminster lost just one game in their qualifying group while Saffron went through the group stages unbeaten.

The Matchplay side face a crucial group encounter as they take on Wanstead. So far the side have overcome Goresbrook before seeing their game with Brentwood called off after heavy rain. With two teams to progress from the group stages this Sunday's home game is a pivotal contest.

A number of Upminster's other colts sides are also in Havering League action this weekend.

UPDATE:- The Under 9s and Matchplay games were called off due to the heavy overnight rain
