Three debutants in the squad for match on Sunday 8th September

Upminster have announced a 13 man squad for the Benefit Match with an Essex CCC XI on Sunday 8th September. Experienced wicket keeper Mike Larke is rewarded for his loyal service in the lower elevens, and for his work with the Club’s Junior section, by claiming the gloves for the afternoon. At the other end of the scale 17 year olds Ryan Brown and Will Frost will also make their first appearances in this fixture. Seam bowler Brown has impressed for the 3rd and 4th XIs this season, while batsman Frost has progressed from the 4th XI to the 2nd XI with a string of impressive performances.

The side will be captained by Ollie Peck, making his 13th appearance in the fixture, while veteran Rob Mack returns to the squad after a 13 year absence. The full squad is as follows:

The T20 match will begin at 3.00pm and entrance to the game is by programme, priced at £2.50 and available in advance or on the day.

There will be a beer tent, BBQ, tea tent and ice cream van available throughout the afternoon, and there will be a number of junior cricket events taking place throughout the day.
