Hunters pick up comfortable win and Tandoori Boys produce best performance of season

There was double success for Upminster's indoor sides on Sunday, as they both stayed on course for their own league and cup doubles.

The Hunters proved to strong for Woodham Mortimer in the afternoon game at Shenfield. Terry Wyatt and Rob White made 37 and 34 not out respectively as John Curtis' side piled up 115-4. Louis Pickering then produced a fine spell of 3-7, and with Curtis, White and Kevin Roome also bowling well, Mortimer were shot out for 32. (Scorecard)

In the evening game at Ingatestone, the Tandoori Boys produced their best performance of the season to overcome a strong Great Waltham side and move a step closer to promotion. A fine all round bowling and fielding performance, that saw Ryan Brown pick up two wickets, restricted Waltham to 71-5. Captain Billy Wright then reached the retirement mark of 25 and with Ian Munn and Sam Twine also making unbeaten contributions Upminster cruised to a five wicket win. (Scorecard)
