Batting first the Upminster made an excellent start reaching 100/0 through Harvey Daniels and Ellis Pickering although Chelmsford hit back with six quick wickets. Some quick running and hefty blows from the lower order helped to lift the total to 186. Chelmsford started confidently in reply and Upminster were also hindered when Daniels was injured bowling and Matthew Bright having to finishing the over. Bright, Pickering, George King and Harry Bradford bowled tightly to restrict the Chelmsford side to 165 all out for a thrilling 21 run win.
The Semi Finals take place at Hutton CC on Wednesday 7th August where we will face Saffron Walden, the match starting at 12pm
In the Haydn Davies trophy the Under 11s lost thanks to a sensational first over from Woodford Green where they took 4 wickets in 4 balls for no runs.
