A very busy and exciting weekend ahead for Upminster CC. It is the opening round of league games for all teams and on Sunday the 1st XI play Hornchurch CC in the 2nd round of the Royal London Club Championship.

Alan Isons first league game as 1st XI captain sees him take a trip to School Lane to take on Orsett CC. The 2nd XI face a tough opening fixture against the 2015 Premier League champions Wanstead. The first game at the newly improved Coopers School will see the 3rd XI take on Woodford Wells. Steve Limns 4th XI are up against Hornchurch 3rd XI. The 5th XI take a nice little trip to The High Road Ground to play Buckhurst Hill 4th XI. The opening game at Campion School this year will see the 6th XI entertain Harlow Town 4th XI.

Ex-UCC favourite Billy Gordon will be part of the Hornchurch side that visits Upminster on Sunday afternoon. After a few washouts, Karim Govani will hopefully captain the Sunday 2nd XI first game of the season away to Oakfield Parkonians.
