Youngsters looking to get day off to a winning start with success in Don Coates Trophy

While preparations for the Benefit Match with an Essex CCC XI will be taking place on Sunday morning, the U9s will be taking on Woodford Green in the Final of the Don Coates Trophy (the Metropolitan District U9s competition).

The game will take place at The Woodford Wells Club (Monkhams Lane, Woodford) and will begin at 10.00am.

Upminster came through a tough group as divisional winners and then beat South Loughton in a thrilling semi final at Upminster Park.

The Upminster side to take on Green will be:

Ross Taylor (Captain)
Michael Pedrick
Nukul Trivedi
Ethan Berry
Stanley Moore
Fenton Everingham
Aaron Jackson
Henry Curtis
Thomas Cargill
James Cargill

Everyone at the Club would like to wish Keith Pedrick's side the very best of luck and we hope to see the Team parading the Trophy back at Upminster Park in the afternoon.

Many thanks are also due to Andrew Shields, Sue Blogg and Trevor Hebden from the Metropolitan Essex Cricket Board for organising such an excellent competition in 2017.
