Stalwart James Foster to return to Upminster Park, while Coles and Snater make debuts

James Foster looks set to make his 12th appearance at Upminster Park this Sunday, for the Upminster CC v Essex CCC XI Benefit Match. Foster has been a loyal servant to the County for nearly 20 years, making over 500 appearances, as well as playing seven test matches for England. Widely regarded as the best wicket keeper in the Country for most of his career, it is a mystery to many why he was not selected more by England. James held a Benefit Match of his own at Upminster in 2011 and is always a firm favourite with the Upminster Park crowds.

Making their debuts in this fixture will be Shane Snater and Matt Coles. Dutch International Shane has had a marvellous season in League cricket with Ilford CC, and this has earned him recognition with the County where he has made several limited overs appearances this summer. Matt started his career with home County Kent before moving to Hampshire and the back to Kent. He moved to the right side of the river last winter and has been a regular in the Essex limited overs side this season.

We look forward to welcoming all three players to Upminster Park on Sunday.

The game between Upminster CC and an Essex CCC XI gets underway at 3.00pm. Entry is by programme, priced at £2.50 each, and available from several businesses in the town, and from the club.
