3s go for title, 4s fight for survival, U9s go for Met glory and Sunday League side face semi-final

It will be a busy weekend for UCC as the SNEL season comes to it's conclusion.

After last Saturday's four wicket win at Buckhurst Hill the 3rd XI face a title showdown with old friends Woodford Wells at Coopers School. Josh Lamont's side have topped the table for much of the season but Wells drew level at the top of the table after picking up 25 points last week against Hornchurch. It means whoever takes more points from Saturday's clash will claim the title. A tense afternoon is in store for all involved!!

The 4th XI will need to win at South Woodford and hope one of two other results goes their way to avoid the drop. Stewart Hammond and his side have fought against the odds all season to give themselves a chance of survival on the last day and their first priority will be to try and gain a win at bottom of the table South. If they do that then Wickford and Old Southendians will need to gain a high value of points in their own fixtures.

In other SNEL games the 1st XI will be looking to secure a top half finish by beating Belhus at Upminster Park, the 2nd XI need to win at Woodford Wells to have a chance of finishing as runners up and the 5th XI have a short journey to finish as they travel to Brentwood. It will also be a sad day for the 6th XI as they will play their final league game for the foreseeable future when they play Hutton at Herongate CC.

Sunday morning (10.00am) will then see the U9s travel to Woodford Wells for the Don Coates Trophy Final. The U9s are unbeaten in all competitions this season and will be looking to secure the trophy with a win over Buckhurst Hill (full Preview to follow).

And the weekend will conclude with the Sunday League play-off semi-final at Upminster Park (1.00pm). Upminster topped the league table at the end of the season and will entertain Waltham, with a place in the Grand Final up for grabs.
