First Eleven To Face Winchmore Hill In National Cup

Upminster have been drawn at home to Winchmore Hill in the first round of the Royal London National Club Championship.

Hill, who strolled to the Middlesex League Division 3 crown in 2017, will travel to Upminster Park on Sunday 22nd April. The winners will then travel to Nutter Lane to face Wanstead and Snaresbrook, who received a bye through the first round, on Sunday 13th May.

It is the second time that the Middlesex League outfit have travelled to Upminster Park in recent years. In May 2011 Upminster were well beaten by the same opposition in a first round tie, despite three wickets for John Curtis and 33 runs for Chris Cully. (Scorecard)

In other first round ties of interest Saffron Walden entertain Colchester and East Essex, Hutton will travel to Chelmsford, and Brondesbury will host Stanmore
