Wins for 2s & 6s as rain frustrates again.

Rain played its part for a 2nd week in a row as a number of games failed to complete on league week 12.

The 1s were looking for a 3rd win of the season over Brentwood. After losing the toss and batting first the top order all made starts but were unable to press on, Julian Whetstones 34 the top score. Some important lower order runs from Matt Tigg and Connor Whetstone helped boost the score to 187. At tea the rain came and no further play was possible. (Scorecard)

The 2nd XI defeated Buckhurst Hill with a superior run rate thanks to the efforts of James Evans (108*) and Kieran Kullar (53) as they posted 212/2 at Upminster Park. In reply Hill struggled to 123/4 from 29.3 overs before rain halted any further play. (Scorecard)

Jordan Tigg and Michael Harrison both passed 40 in posting 220/9 for the 3s against Woodford Wells. Heavy rain saw Wells reply get to 91/2 before the match was abandoned (Scorecard)

The 4s were defeated by local rivals Hornchurch, only youngster Alex Halliwell with 31 made a score of note as Usman Rai 4/27 bowled the 4s out for 139. A rapid 71 from Hasnat in reply took Hornchurch to the win (Scorecard)

Matthew Bright with 4/12 helped restrict Shenfield 4s to 162/7 before the 5s match was also abandoned. (Scorecard)

The 6s had already got a league win as Walthamstow were unable to field a side. In a friendly against Oakfield Parkonians Alex Fisher, Will frost & Sarfraz Faheem all took 2 wickets. Chasing 94 for victory captian Ray Calder top scored with 29* for a 5th win of the season (Scorecard)
