Enfield 247 for 5 lost to Upminster 251 for 3 by 7 wickets
The 1st XI won their National Cup match at Enfield thanks to a unbeaten hundred by Julian Whetstone. Enfield batting first in the 45 over a side match started well reaching 163/1. Shafiq Rahman took the wickets of top scorers Plumb and Shah as further contributions took the final total to 247/5
In reply openers Julian Whetstone and James Evans put on 95 for the first wicket before Evans was out LBW. Whetstone continued to anchor the innings with all other batsman contributing as the total was chased down with 8 balls to spare. Julian finishing 118 not out
Upminster now face Wanstead in the 2nd round on the 14th May
