Upminster reached the Finals Day of the Essex League 20/20 Cup with a superb all round performance against Brentwood at Upminster Park.
Batting first runs from Alan Ison, Nick O'Dell and James Aggio-Brewe put Upminster in a good position before some last over fireworks from John "The Beast" Curtis helped Upminster to a total of 183-9 from their 20 overs.
In reply Brentwood were always up against it as Upminster bowled and fielded well, and when Ollie Peck dismissed visiting skipper John Walford in the 9th over they were all but out of the game. They eventually struggled to 133-9 from their allocation.
The Finals Day is provisionally booked for Sunday August 15th at Billericay Cricket Club. Full times and details to be confirmed, so please keep any eye on the website for more details.
