GRAND SLAM SUNDAY - 15th AUGUST

1 Details

It could be one of the most exciting days of the season this Sunday, as the Club goes in search of glory on three fronts.

Pride of place goes to the 1st XI who will make their second appearance in the Essex T20 Finals Day at Billericay CC.  They have brushed aside Hutton, Colchester, Shenfield and Brentwood to reach this stage, and will face one of Westcliff, Buckhurst Hill, Wanstead or South Woodford in their semi final which will begin at 11.00am. Should the side win this game they will progress to the final which will take place at 3.00pm.

Entrance to the ground on the day is FREE, refreshments will be available and all support for the team will be much appreciated.  Coach travel is available for anyone wanting to go and watch, priced at £8 for a return journey, and this will leave the Windmill Hall at 9.15am.  If you would like to book a place on the coach please contact Mike Rath or e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. Meanwhile at Upminster Park, Ted Green's U13 side will be looking to reach the semi finals of the Peter Coe Cup for the first time in the Club's history.  Having won all of their group games so far, Upminster know one more win against old friends and rivals Gidea Park will see them through to the last four.  The game starts at 2.00pm, and anyone who cannot make it to Billericay is encouraged to go along and lend their support.

And last, but by no means least, the Sunday 2nd XI continue their late push for promotion in the Essex Sunday League, with a short trip down the A127 to face Basildon and Pitsea.  Scott Hammond's side have won their last three games to push them up to 3rd in the table, and know that nothing less than 18 points will keep them in the hunt for promotion to the Premier Division.
