It's a crucial weekend for many of Upminster's sides as the end of the season fast approaches.
The 1st XI entertain Colchester and East Essex at Upminster Park (11.30am) and will be looking for valuable points in their bid to avoid the drop. Upminster are on a 3 match unbeaten run and will hope this continues. The sides have already met three times this season, with the North Essex side winning the League Cup and League encounters, while Upminster came out on top in the T20 encounter as they marched towards the Finals Day.
Dan Tyler takes his 2nd XI to Fives and Heronians (1.00pm) for their latest Premier Division clash. Tyler's men rose to 4th in the table after last week's thrashing of Wanstead, while Fives sit one place below them after a high scoring draw with Chingford last time out.
A win would be most welcome for the 3rd XI as they make the short journey down Hall Lane to face Harold Wood (1.00pm). Chris Cully's side were well beaten by Wanstead last week, and slipped into the bottom two. However, they only trail 7th placed Wood by 6 points so this is a crucial encounter. The 4th XI welcome Wickford 3s to Coopers (1.00pm) as they look to maintain their lead at the top of the table. Will Sissen's men are chasing a 4th promotion in 5 years and a victory here would be another step towards that.
Two wins in two weeks have not yet lifted the 5th XI out of the relegation zone, but they know a win over fellow strugglers South Woodford 4s would almost certainly do so. Paul Stratton and skipper Karim Govani have been in good form in recent weeks, and they will hope this continues in this important clash (1.00pm). Meanwhile Paul Scott's 6th XI will also be hoping to build on their good form of the last two weeks when they play Leigh on Sea 4s at Coopers School (1.00pm). The 7th XI are without a game this weekend.
Sunday sees the 2nd XI continue their late promotion push in the Sunday League when they play Leigh on Sea in an East Division encounter at Upminster Park (2.00pm). Also on Sunday, Ollie Peck leads the Academy side in their latest game at Brentwood (2.00pm).
