Upminster U13s won their second Peter Coe match to make it 2 from 2 in the group Stage of the competition.
A fine bowling performance from the six man Upminster pace attack led by Jordan Tigg (2/28) and Rohan Mayor (1/11) restricted Home side Maldon to 140 for 7 from their 30 overs.
The Upminster response was confident and assured with contributions from a number of players, notably Frankie Adams (37), Sam Crotch (24) and Sam Green (21 not out). The whole team played their part in the win by 4 wickets, as Upminster closed the match out with 8.5 overs remaining of the allotted 30.
The boys next match in a busy year is away at Hadleigh and Thundersley in the National Cup on Friday evening.
